It is so amazing on how much everyone is the same but so different. Everyone says it. You are the same yet different.. its true. As I walk down the streets of town center in Windsor, everyone is walking around, in the same place as I am but the difference between me and the person standing next to me could be a million things. You don't know that unless you talk to the person standing there. Obviously we can look different on the outside, without saying anything. The clothes we wear, the way we style our hair, if we are a male or female, what colour our skin is. By looking at just these things, we judge. It's not until you know the person who is standing next to you what they really are all about. They could like the same things as you, or not. They could know how to speak your language or not. But how will you know, if you don't give them a chance.
Since I have been here, I have seen so many different types of people. I have met a bunch of girls who are other au pairs as well. A few of them are from Spain, a couple from Germany, one from Swedan, one from France and one from Italy. It is so amazing that we can all come together and learn things about eachother. Its also amazing that we can communicate, in the language I speak. We all went out together for dinner, laughing and getting along fine. It felt good to get out of the house and socialize. After dinner we went to the disco a place called liquid. This I consider just like stereo but bigger. They call the bar a disco, and a bar here is more of a pub. Last weekend also consisted of my first trip into London. ♥ It is so amazing and there is just so much to do. We drove out from Windsor which is a fifteen minute drive, but some days can take two hours if traffic is bad. Then we parked the car and waited for the ferry to come pick us up at one of the ferry stops. Its like a bus route but on water. People use these boats daily to get around. There is even a police shop and police boats on the river. It stops at all of its routes stops and lets people off and on. When it was our turn, we got off. We went to the maritime museum which is wear they invented time pretty much. It is all about the ships and battles that took place and the Queens house which you get to tour around in and "not" take photos. I did, I couldn't help it. After that we got back on our ferry back to get off at the London eye. Which is pretty much the worlds biggest ferris wheel but you walk on with about 15 people in this pod and it goes around slowly so you can see all over London. I think it takes about 10-15 mins to go around. As we were coming down the skys were getting more grey and it started to rain. We took one last stop in London before going back home & that was at a restaurant called pizza express. This was the fanciest pizza place I have ever been too. It tasted so good too! After eating we got back into the car and headed home. A long day but one of the best.
As the weather gets nicer and I no longer have to wear a jacket, I know why I am here and not in Winnipeg. No snow, no freezing rain, no muddy slush no more winter. I'll be back when Winnipeg is as gorgeous as London. Summer time.
